Common Questions
Answers to the objections that come up most frequently during PI firm evaluations.
Do I need a law degree or bar license to use this?
No. PI Case Qualifier is B2B workflow software sold to law firms, not consumer-facing legal services. It helps your staff collect and route intake information—it does not give legal advice or engage in the unauthorized practice of law. Clio, Smokeball, and LawPay all operate in this category without requiring operator credentials. If your firm has specific compliance questions, consult your malpractice carrier or bar counsel.
Is there a free trial?
Yes. Starter and Growth plans include a 14-day full-feature trial with no credit card required. You can evaluate the intake form builder, scoring logic, and firm dashboard before committing. Scale plan evaluations are handled via a structured demo call with a success manager.
How does this compare to using Clio's built-in intake module?
Clio's intake module is a general-purpose form builder with optional workflow automation. PI Case Qualifier ships with pre-built case-qualification logic, injury-type branching rules, and jurisdiction-specific routing thresholds out of the box. Firms using Clio for practice management often connect PI Case Qualifier via API or Zapier to add PI-specific logic without migrating their existing system.
What happens to our data if we cancel?
You have 30 days post-cancellation to export all case data, intake records, and audit logs in CSV or JSON format. After 30 days, data is deleted from our servers per our data retention schedule. We do not sell or transfer firm data to third parties.
Does this work with our existing intake process?
PI Case Qualifier is designed to layer over existing processes, not replace them. Most firms embed the intake form on their website, use the case-score output to prioritize which leads get immediate callback, and leave their existing phone intake process intact during the transition. Onboarding includes a workflow mapping session with your success manager.
What uptime can we expect?
All plans include a 99.9% uptime SLA, measured monthly. Growth and Scale plans include status page access with real-time incident notifications. If uptime falls below 99.9% in a billing month, affected days are credited pro-rata.
Can we get custom PI jurisdiction rules for our state?
Scale plan includes custom jurisdiction rule sets for up to five states. Starter and Growth plans use our default multi-state PI ruleset, which covers statute of limitations, insurance threshold triggers, and injury-type flags for the 20 most common PI claim categories.
How is pricing structured as our intake volume grows?
Pricing is per firm, not per user or per lead. Growth plan covers up to 600 qualified leads/month at a flat $499. Scale plan removes the lead cap entirely. There are no per-lead overage fees on any tier. If your firm adds a second office location, Scale plan supports multi-branch routing under a single account.
